If you have ever experienced any of these symptoms, you may be a clear case of being:

A PADEL GEEK

    • Your weekly work is organized according to your games.
    • You systematically carry your padel racket in your trunk, just in case something comes up.
    • You have played in all the clubs in your city. And you open or close the club, some people even have the keys.
    • You start to hide the fact that you are going to play.
    • A tournament is more important than a birthday/christening or communion of a friend’s child, sometimes even a wedding!
    • You are an expert in the PROFESSIONAL CIRCUITS. You know all the pairings on the pro circuit and if any of them split, you start speculating on possible pairings. You also know and know the results of the previous WPT, APT or Premier.
    • You have even the latest product on the market, personalized racquets, outfits and shoes from the last season, your favorite player’s paddle rack…etc.
    • You are trying to convince your partner, your children, friends to start playing. So you don’t feel “the guilt” of being the only one in the family.
    • You are a beginner or amateur and you spend more hours on the court than a professional player. In no other sport does an amateur play 6 out of 7 days a week (not counting double shifts).
    • You play 3 or 4 leagues a year and at least one tournament a month.
    • You spend too much time watching padel plays on RRSS, you follow all the players, brands and even clubs on IG, TIKTOK or TWITTER. And if you still use Facebook, you have more than 1000 friends that play padel from all over the world.

And I could go on with a few more symptoms… padel is full of unique and special people who are making this sport grow and grow.

In PADEL we have a language of our own. We make a small one, we go out for 3 or we take it out for 4 (I don’t know the real names in English ;)). We know that a 5 is a good player and a 2 has just started (levels in Valencia, Spain). If we are with others of the “same species” we can spend hours talking about our sport. We train like professionals, even if we are only the best in our neighborhood. We all know a professional player and we talk about them as if they were our friends.

PADEL is made up of a big family of geeks and we wear it with pride.

That’s why we are already present in so many countries … paddle hooks (really) and take care because you can easily catch it. WATCH OUT, IT COULD BE THE NEXT WORLD PANDEMIC!
